Eurovision 2027 in Burgas: where to stay

Eurovision 2027 takes place in Burgas in May. Sunny Beach is 37 km away — with rooms free, free parking throughout May and transfers into the city.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2027 takes place in Burgas in May 2027. The semi-finals are on 11 and 13 May, the final on 15 May. Burgas is about 37 kilometres from Sunny Beach, which makes the resort one of the more sensible bases for that week.

Why not simply stay in Burgas

You can, if you book early enough. But Burgas is a working city rather than a resort — its hotel stock is limited, and with an event on this scale it fills up first and prices follow.

Sunny Beach has the opposite problem in May: a resort built for August, which in spring is almost empty. That means rooms available, prices far below the summer rates, and the sea outside the door.

Honestly, about May: the water is still too cold for swimming. May on this coast is a month for walking, terraces and day trips, not for the beach. If you are expecting an August sea you will be disappointed — for temperatures month by month, see the weather in Sunny Beach.

Distances and getting about

Reception can arrange a taxi into Burgas and back. Give us the dates and times when you book — better to have it arranged in advance than to be hunting for a car at midnight after the final.

Burgas Airport lies between the two, which is convenient both arriving and leaving.

Free parking throughout May

Throughout May 2027, parking with us is free for all guests — whether or not they are here for the contest.

The car park is directly in front of reception, behind a barrier, and it is visible from the terrace of almost every room. If you are driving a long way, that is the detail that matters. For the rest of the season, parking is available for a small fee. There is more on parking in the resort in a separate piece.

What to do between the shows

Eurovision week is a long one, with a good deal of free time between events. Nearby:

  • Nessebar — a UNESCO-listed old town, 5 km away. The easiest outing from here.
  • Sveti Vlas — the marina and the fish restaurants, also 5 km away.
  • Pomorie — the salt lakes and mud therapy, about 20 km away.
  • Sozopol and Ravadinovo Castle — a full day to the south.
  • The Sea Garden in Burgas — if you are in the city anyway, it is the best thing in it.

There is an overview of the resort in the Sunny Beach guide.

Practical

  • Book early. Hotel stock along the whole coast will be under pressure that week, and May is otherwise low season, so capacity is smaller than in summer.
  • Check the official channels for dates, the venue and tickets. This page only tells you where we are in relation to the event.
  • Consider a few extra days. The contest tickets are for a few hours; the coast around it deserves rather more than that.
